Installation steps:
Power off the press and ensure it is in a safe condition.
Mount the detector at the standard mounting holes on the feeder board in the front lay area (SM52 has pre‑drilled positions).
Align the emitter and receiver facing each other. Tilt the sensor head at an angle of 20° to 45° perpendicular to the paper surface. Maintain a 5–15 mm gap between paper and emitter.
Connect the wiring according to the circuit diagram (emitter and receiver plugs connect directly).
Power on and test with single sheet and double sheet to verify detection.
Tuning tips:
Enable the double sheet detector function in the press configuration table.
If false alarms occur (single sheet triggers double fault), clean the sensor surface (paper dust/ink residue) and retry.
Check terminal voltage of wires 1B65/1B66 (sensor lines). Inspect for loose or corroded cables.
